The First Pakistani Lady Mountaineer

Samina Khayal Baig, the first Pakistani lady who climbed the world's highest peak, Mount Everest - 8,848 metres. She was accompanied by his elder brother, Mirza Ali who guided her during her mission. She is the pride for the whole nation of Pakistan who had dared to step the highest peak with high spirit and courage.


There were other 35 foreigners who climed the peak with Samina and Ali with 29 Nepalese Sherpa guides on this expidition. The 21 year old young mountaineer had named herself in the world history and created a prominent position among the daring people who are courageous to do something different from others. Today, all the Pakistani nation feels proud on Samina who had listed her name among the mountaineers of the world. She had created a new image of Pakistan and moved the success towards the highest peak of the world.

Mirza Ali became the third and younger Pakistani mountaineer ever to climb the Mount Everest. Before this, the first Pakistani who stepped the highest peak was Nazir Sabir while Hassan Sadpara became the second Pakistani to climb this peak. Nazir Sabir, Mirza Ali and Samina Baig are the natives of Hunza Valley while Hassan Sadpara is from Skardu, Baltistan.
